What is Life Coaching?
The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Coaching is about empowering people to come up with their own answers. Someone comes to a life coach to achieve a goal or to change, enhance or improve some area of their life. Coaching takes the client from where they are to where they want to be. Coaching Is results-oriented and focuses on making changes in the present. The client develops a plan of action to move forward, and the coach holds the client accountable to follow through with that plan of action. During the process, common blocks and obstacles are addressed using a variety of techniques.
Life Coaching is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal goals, business development, and changes specific to a client. We look at what is going on right now, prioritize specific goals and help you develop a plan of action for achievement. We also have specific exercises to help with challenges, blocks, obstacles, and procrastination. At Patrosso & Associates, we help you reach your full potential and life’s purpose.
If there is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be, then there is room for life coaching. Why struggle on your own when you can get what you want out of life in a fraction of the time with the structure, support, and tools of a skilled life coach?
